From our base in Copenhagen, we undertake transformation and restoration projects worldwide.

Alma Aspen, Norwegian-born architect and founder of Alm.Ark, graduated from the Royal Danish Academy, School of Architecture—Institute of Cultural Heritage, Restoration, and Transformation—in 2021. Her architectural education spans a diverse range of institutions, including the Scandinavian School of Design, Pontificia Universidad de Chile, the Aarhus School of Architecture, and a foundation in carpentry. Throughout her career, Alma has lived and worked across Japan, Tanzania, Nepal, Nicaragua, Chile, Norway, and Denmark, cultivating a global perspective that informs her practice. She has gained valuable experience from renowned studios such as Junya Ishigami, Shigeru Ban,  Lundgaard & Tranberg Architects. Beyond architecture, Alma possesses a deep engagement with the arts, having contributed to institutions such as Copenhagen Contemporary, Museum Jorn, Fredericia Furniture OSL Contemporary—reflecting a multidisciplinary approach that bridges design, culture, and material exploration. Alongside praxis, Alma has engaged active as  boardmember of The Royald Danish Academy and currently Architects Without Borders Denmark.
